AI Disclosure

LeaseLoom uses artificial intelligence in several places. This page explains where, and what that means for you, in plain language.
Where AI is used
- Prospective-tenant chat (lead inquiries): when you message about a unit through LeaseLoom, an AI assistant answers using only the property information the manager has entered — it does not guess at policies, pricing, or availability it wasn't given. A human property manager can step in and take over the conversation at any time.
- Tenant portal chat (maintenance & questions): the tenant chat widget is answered by the same kind of AI assistant, and can also be flagged for or taken over by a human property manager.
- Automations: property managers can configure automated workflows (e.g. lease renewal reminders, follow-up messages) that may use AI to draft or send content on their behalf.
You're talking to an AI
Every chat widget in LeaseLoom that's answered by AI says so directly in the conversation. If a property manager or team member steps in, their replies are labeled "Property manager" so you always know who — or what — you're talking to.
Limitations
AI-generated responses can be wrong or incomplete. They're based only on the information a property manager has entered into LeaseLoom — if something isn't in that data, the AI is instructed to say it doesn't know rather than guess. AI-generated content should not be treated as a legally binding representation by the property manager or LeaseLoom without human confirmation, particularly for anything related to lease terms, pricing, fair housing, or tenant screening decisions.
Human oversight
Property managers can review AI conversations, take over any chat, and correct or follow up on anything the AI got wrong. LeaseLoom does not make final leasing, screening, or eviction decisions — those remain with the property manager.
