AI Disclosure

LeaseLoom uses artificial intelligence in several places. This page explains where, what it works from, and what that means for you, in plain language. The AI is Meta's Llama, run by Cloudflare Workers AI, and it works only from the information it is given.

Where AI is used

• Prospective-tenant chat (lead inquiries): when you message about a unit through LeaseLoom, an AI assistant answers using only the property information it has been given. It is instructed not to guess at policies, pricing, or availability. A property manager can step in and take over the conversation at any time, and when they do, the AI stops replying.
• Tenant chat (maintenance and questions): resident questions and maintenance requests are answered by the same kind of AI assistant. It can flag a conversation for a person, and a property manager can take it over.
• The property manager's assistant: managers can ask an AI assistant about their portfolio. It can suggest actions, but nothing happens until the manager confirms.
• Automations: property managers can set up workflows (for example renewal reminders and follow-up messages) that use AI to draft or send content on their behalf.
• Imported reports: the AI answers from the reports a property manager imports, such as the rent roll exported from AppFolio. LeaseLoom has no login to that software and changes nothing in it.
• Text messages (not yet live): when texting launches, some messages to residents, prospective tenants and vendors will be drafted by AI and sent on the property manager's behalf.

You're talking to an AI

Every chat widget in LeaseLoom that's answered by AI says so directly in the conversation. If a property manager or team member steps in, their replies are labeled "Property manager", so you always know who, or what, you are talking to.

Limitations

AI-generated responses can be wrong or incomplete. They're based only on the information available to the AI: what the property manager has entered into LeaseLoom and the reports they import. If something isn't there, the AI is instructed to say it doesn't know rather than guess. AI-generated content should not be treated as a legally binding representation by the property manager or LeaseLoom without human confirmation, particularly for anything related to lease terms, pricing, fair housing, or tenant screening decisions.

Human oversight

AI conversations are saved so property managers can review them, take over any chat, and correct or follow up on anything the AI got wrong. LeaseLoom does not make leasing, screening, or eviction decisions. Those remain with the property manager. We do not use your information to train AI models.
